Who am I?

Hello everyone,

My name is Maria. I have created this blog because in the past year of my life I have learned so many great things and I want to share them with all of you. I will tell you a little bit of my past so you can understand why I am doing this.
 
I am 27 years old. I am a newlywed. I have been officially married since May of 2013 and I was lucky enough to have two weddings! I met my husband, James, through an online dating website in August of 2012. We met and we instantly fell in love! He happens to be in the Air Force and I, at the time, was living in El Paso, Texas. He was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico which was about an hour and a half away from me. He proposed in January of 2013 and we moved in together and had our courthouse wedding in Alamogordo on May 10 of 2013. This was just our families of course and then in August of 2013 we had a beautiful church wedding. It was the happiest day of our lives. During this time my husband happened to get orders and we were shocked! We were moving to Amsterdam! Two weeks after our church wedding we arrived at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands and since then we have been living in a little town right outside of Amsterdam named Nieuw Vennep.
 
I had always been a working woman. Right before I moved to Alamogordo with my husband I had been working as an Office Manager for a landscaping company in El Paso. I had been there for 7 years! While I loved the people I worked with I was also excited to venture out and try new things. I had a brief job in Alamogordo where I worked as a Dispatcher for a trash company. When I heard we were moving to Amsterdam I was excited! I thought to myself wow, I am going to work there and what a new amazing experience that will be! Well that did not work out as I wanted it to. Since I do not speak Dutch I discovered quick that the possibility of finding a job was pretty much not a choice. I gave up and decided to tackle new territory, becoming a housewife.
 
I never thought I would enjoy it. I always said to myself I will die before I work at home. Well here I am 6 months later and I cannot tell you how wrong I was! Being a housewife is not an easy job. Sure there are housewives who have help and have children and it is the most stressful thing to do but I believe you can find joy in anything you do! I started this blog because I want to share all that I have learned. Not only from Pinterest, Facebook, and the internet but also from my friends, family, and my surroundings. This blog will hopefully help you in some way. Whether its from a recipe, life advice, or beauty tips. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you in any way I can.
